Méribél The heart of the three valleys

Discreet, elegant and renowned for having retained its charm and character, Méribél offers a range of excellent facilities in a stunning Savoyard setting. But it's primary attraction remains "The Biggest Ski Area" in the world, and Méribél is at its heart. Undoubtedly a skiers' paradise, with over 600 kms of piste and 225 lifts throughout the 3 Valleys, Méribél offers grading and facilities for all comers.

Whether you are a powder fanatic or wish to slide the wooded paths of the cross-country domain, Méribél has excellent scope for all.

For the snowboarding clan, the 2 snow parks are rated as some of the finest facilities for boarders in Europe with colour coded jumps, pipes, hips and whoops providing plenty to keep even the most ambitious happy. There is also ample for all to do in less clement weather with swimming pools, a climbing wall, bowling and the ice rink to occupy those retiring early off the slopes.

And then there is the Apres Ski. The village's elegant boutiques, lively bars and restaurants ensure that your stay will not be short of nightlife and mad parties for those who wish! Savoyard tradition happily rubs shoulders with the elegance of more "chic" addresses.

Children are also at the heart of Méribél's drive to provide the ultimate destination for families. It is no accident that Méribél was one of the first resorts to be awarded the "P’tits Montagnards" (Little Mountaineers) status, a label given to those resorts that provide children friendly infrastructures and a warm welcome for young guests. Méribél's ski schools abound, and there is "The Petit , .. Loup" children's day facility that will care for your children and teach the skiing and mountain basics.
